Idaho Land PAC was created to support and defend the private property rights protected for property owners by the 5th Amendment to the United States Constitution: “No person shall be… deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.”
We are men and women thankful for those who penned a document as a protection against unrestrained government and those who would seek to use that Government to subvert the rights of private individuals.
We are responsible farmers, thoughtful ranchers, avid recreationalists, and responsible sportsmen. We understand what it means to steward our land.
Because we believe property owners should bear the responsibility, and the opportunity costs of their use decisions, and that current regulatory takings infringe on their ability to make those decisions, we seek to minimize and roll back restrictions on grazing, logging, and mineral acquisition rights on private property.
We are taxpayers who believe counties should derive income from the resource utilization that occurs within their boundaries and should be allowed to keep land within THEIR borders on THEIR tax rolls.
We are property owners, and we want to decide how to use the property that we own. We want to restrain and contain a government that tells us we can not.
We are rights holders to federal lands, and we have paid just compensation for these rights. We seek to remove those who would place restrictions on our exercise of them.
